Former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Jon Gosselin has now officially felt the wrath of the Maryland courts. According to the Associated Press, the reality star received a ruling from the judge that he cannot continue to make paid appearances that are in violation of his TLC contract.
The court drama on Thursday was meant to only be a primary injunction for what will be a lengthier court battle once the two sides meet again on April 19. It is then when both Jon and TLC can attempt to get money out of one another for a number of different charges. Jon claims he was "misrepresented" during his initial negotiations over "Jon and Kate Plus 8," and that TLC violated Pennsylvania child labor laws. On the other hand, TLC has a mountain of evidence showing that Jon deliberately made attempts to make money that violated the exclusivity clause in his contract.
Jon Gosselin did not end up making an appearance in court, even in spite of a multitude of reports that claimed he would at least be present during the afternoon's proceedings. His legal team also did not present any evidence that could potentially gain the reality star favor with the judge. TLC, meanwhile, presented transcripts of depositions from three former members of Jon's "inner circle:" Hailey Glassman, Kate Major, and Michael Lohan.
