When Nicole Richie says, 'No paparazzi!' she means it, as the mother-of-two recently won a three-year restraining order against two celebrity photographers.
On Monday (November 16), Los Angeles Superior Court’s Judge Carol Boas Goodson granted Richie her petition for a three year restraining order against shutterbugs Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Emilio Melo Miguel --keeping them at least 50 yards away from Nicole and her family.
According to the Associated Press, during the court session Miguel personally apologized to Richie and boyfriend, Joel Madden and said he would no longer photograph them if they preferred.
Richie blames the men for a car accident that occurred last month (October 09), and although the actress’ two children, Harlow and Sparrow, were not in the car at the time of the crash, Richie says she is frightened for her children’s safety as well as her own.
Nicole can now breathe a sigh of relief as Miguel and Arrivabene must remain at least 50 yards away from her and her family for the next three years.
Nicole and Joel aren't the first celebrities to fight back against the paparazzi. Most recently, former boxer Mike Tyson was arrested at LAX International Airport after punching a paparazzo for allegedly getting too close to his 10-month old child.
